At AB Consultation and Counselling Service we aim to help students and professionals further their knowledge of aged care and mental health. Our education service is available to anyone wishing to gain strong hands-on experience and receive an advanced education in the field of aged care and mental health.
Educator
The education service is conducted by our clinical director Anneke Bull (MACMHN, MMH, Grad Dip Counselling & Psychotherapy, Grad Dip Ext Care, CMHN, RN). Anneke Bull is a credentialed and experienced aged care & mental health nurse. Anneke Bull began her academic life at the Wolston Park Hospital (Ipswich, QLD) in 1984, graduating as a Registered Psychiatric Nurse.
In 1995, Anneke Bull graduated from the University of New England with a Graduate Diploma in Extended Care (aging & end of life). In 2007, Anneke Bull graduated from the University of Queensland with a Master's in Mental Health. In 2016 Anneke graduated from AIFC with Graduate Diploma in Counselling & Psychotherapy Throughout this time, Anneke Bull worked for Queensland Health in Mental Health and Aged Care. Over the past 4 decades, she has had a lengthy role at Ipswich Hospital and The Park - Centre for Mental Health (Ipswich, QLD). In the last 10 years, she has headed training courses in the care of the mentally unwell and aged care.

Hands-on experience
You will gain experience by sitting in on some of the counselling and consultation session. You will see how psychiatric theory is applied in a real world setting and how to properly counsel and consult patients in a clinical environment.
Academic knowledge
You will gain a deeper academic education about aged care, counselling philosophies & techniques, modern consultation and patient care.
Tutoring
Anneke will assist you with various projects and help you to understand the information covered in your university/TAFE course.
Clinical supervision
We provide clinical supervision for students, nurses and counsellors. Anneke has been educated in clinical supervision at the School of Mental Health, The Park and Sunrise.
